Any chocolates, caramels, candy, or small treats you want in your cookies
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350℉
Combine sifted flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream margarine or butter with brown and granulated sugar until light. Beat in vanilla and eggs until smooth.
Beat dry ingredients into creamed mixture (a little at a time).
Add in any chocolates, caramels, candy, or small treats that you would like. The fact that you can find most of them in your kitchen cabinets is why it's called "Cabinet Cookies."
Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto baking sheets.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl.
Add butter and sugar together in a big bowl. Then add egg and vanilla
Add the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
Divide dough and let it sit in the freezer until firm. (Recommended: Divide into 4-6 pieces in order to speed up the firming and cutting process)
Preheat to 350℉ and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Let the dough sit at room temperature for a few minutes, then roll out the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper to about 1/8 inch thick. (Tip: 1/8 inch is about the thickness of 2 quarters stacked)
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
